i studied french all through high school, and since then have always been keen to visit elsewhere in France (besides Paris) so when cheap flights popped up to Nantes (other than immediately humming one of my favourite Beirut tunes of the same name) i locked it in. we picked up a hire car and drove straight to Rennes, stopping on the way at a quintessential french village boulangerie, where we ate a fresh baguette and a pain au chocolat the size of my face. basically on this trip, we ate a lot of really great food. and i’ll remember forever the most incredible breakfast of my life (superlatives quite seriously required): baguettes straight from the boulangerie oven, cheese (ordered en francais no less) from the farmers market, coffee and treats, eaten on a little park table in the middle of nowhere. we also visited Mont Saint-Michel, Cancale and Saint-Malo, along with Saint Nazaire and a cheeky swim at Pornichet on the west coast. c’était parfait 🙂

Wow, your photos look absolutely amazing and they bring back lots of amazing memories from our trip around Brittany. The highlight of our trip was seeing Mont Saint Michel in person, it’s a place we can highly recommend for anyone. Thanks for sharing and stay safe 😊 Aiva
